New camera

Post by Phisher »

Sup gang,

We just invested in our first nice digital camera, a Nikon 40D. I know we have a few camera gurus here *cough, Brandon, cough* that could help me in choosing my next lense selection. I need one to make far stuff closer and one to make little stuff less fuzzy. Anywhere you would recommend buying from local or online? Seems lenses can vary a lot in $ but be similar in features, how can you tell where a happy medium is between price and quality?

Dude! Long time no see.. I know absolutely nothing about Nikon. I'd recommend one of the IS lenses if it were a canon, but sorry, nada on Nikon.

Maybe cruise the forums at:
http://www.dpreview.com/

There is also a way to view pictures by lens or camera type at: http://www.pbase.com

Congrats on your purchase.

Hope things are going well for you and your wife.

Yea we are still kicking around. We both make career changes and just finished up school, so we are finally getting a chance to slow down and enjoy our hobbies again.

We should really try to drum up some interest in a meeting soon, we would love to see you guys.
