So what do you think

Post by andy4499 »

I have just recently found out about this web site from a friend. Unfortunately I did not know about the June meeting until after it was over. So maybe next meeting I can meet a few people with the same hobby as me. Well here is my tank, tell me what you think of it. It has been running for almost two years with no problems. Most of the things in it are clamed up right now because a few days ago I had to move the rocks around to make way for all of the mushrooms. Soon I may be looking for some more frags or hard corals to put in my tank, but as of now I have spent a lot on it in the past couple of weeks. Any ways this is my set up, so what do you think?

It is a 55-gallon tank with 2, 40 watt shop bulbs and 2 vho (1 actinic). The filter system consist of a 20 gallon refugium with 2 mag 7’s one for the inflow (spray bar the length of the tank) to the tank and the other to a berlin skimmer, with two 2’ shop bulbs to help the algae growth. The water coming from the tank to the refugium goes to a bag filter. In the tank for circulation is 2 600mp maxi jet power heads. Also there are 2 blue 25watt bulbs in the hood for nighttime, to give it a moon effect. Most of the live rock I made my self from concrete and oyster shells.

You don't need those mushroom colonies, give them to me.

I probably don’t need all of the mushroom colonies, but I came across them at a very reasonable price. I just got them last week from someone one that post on this web site, that is getting rid of there tank. I have thought about going back to him and getting more of them, but I don’t know what I would do with all of them if I got them.
