My outcast fish's I.D. finally revealed...

Post by tanker stanker »

Last summer I went snorkeling down at Perdido pass and caught some fish and put them in my tank. All but one died and I recently discovered after looking all over the web what kind of fish it is. It is a Grey Snapper! Also known as a Mangrove Snapper. I saw a picture of him last night, and the black stripe across his eye gave it away. He's only about 2 inches long now and I read last night that in 7 years they grow up to 30 inches long! So far he's been a great fish even though he's the black sheep in the tank compared to all the colorful fish with him.
