Anyone have any starfish fall apart ?

I had 3 red starfish in my 75 gallon that basically fell apart after a year. Now in my little tank at work one I got from Rich is falling apart also, you can see the disc now in the middle without skin. There is also skin falling off on the legs ?

Due to a lack of proper diet I believe.

yeah, it's not getting what it wants to eat... you'd feed it more natural/meaty foods would be my gues.

I have been thinking about getting a blue or orange Linkia and everything that I have read is that they are omnivores with most places saying that they feed on detritus and rotting food. So maybe you don't have enought rot in your tanks.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.
