Yep, a bristleworm, quite a small one too. What brand of sump is that ?

Sump looks big. Plenty of room to get rid of the balls and do somthing constructive!

I'm open for suggestions. I'm only into this thing for about 2 weeks. So...what should I replace the bioballs with? Also, I've seen lots of pics where people are growing stuff in their sump. Even sand in the sump. Let me know what ya think.

NO SAND IN SUMP, disaster when it reaches a pump. Throw coral plugs in there.

Hey Guys, (and Girls)

I like to partake in adult beverages.
I like to eat.
I'm becoming obsessed with the saltwater stuff.
I can joke and tell lies.

Does any of this qualify me to be a part of the reef club? Who do I need to talk with to join? When are the meetings?

That is all we do. You have to do nothing to get in, just show up once a year. Meetings are normally once a month, or when someone has enough money to have one.

From what i have looked at with those sumps you are limited to what all you can do. Fishless refugiums are great addititons to reef tanks, but with that sump you proably will have to do an external refugium that overflows back into the tank or sump. I would remove the bio balls though, they tend to just become a nitrate factory.

Live Rock
Macro Algea
Frag Plugs
Rock and corals ?
I have seen some put fish, rock and corals in the sump before

Snoop,

I would be happy to have a meeting at our home sometime. I'm just getting the tank setup and running. We live over in Daphne. Let me know.

If you want to then simply post a new thread in "Alabama Reef Keepers" titled the month you want to host, give some instructions on where to go and what to bring.

Cool! The green sinularia made the showpiece!!!

Glad to see the tank's looking good, Buzz. The Seios are working good, as long as I don't turn the power off.

How's the macro doing?

Why do we park in a driveway, and drive on a parkway?
There is NO SUCH THING as a hot water heater.
