Skimmer Question

I just got my new coralife skimmer in the mail yesterday, got it all hooked up and everything, and today I added some water to my tank to bring the level closer to the top of the bubble diffuser, and then the air vent that is attached to the return into the bubble diffuser was spitting out water and it would get behind mytank....any ideas on how to stop this? thanks.

If water is coming out of the skimmer air intake, then there is too much pump pressure. You may need to reduce the overall water volume that the pump is delivering.
