I think two Koralia 2's would give you more flexibility with livestock than a single K3, or even better two modded MJ1200's with a cheap controller.

Eventually I'll replace my two K4's with four modded MJ1200's on a controller. It's a lot cheaper than any of the other wave simulators out there, on ebay there are a occasionally sets for less than $130. The mod kits give you a wider flow, and greater volume, , like a Koralia style pump.
100 gal mixed reef, 30 gal sump, 4x54w T5, 2x150w HQI, OctoX 200 skimmer, Kalk top-off, rocky mixed reef.

What are the dims on your tank? If it's the standard 36wx18x24h, I used to have a tank like that, and had two seio 1100's in it. I've got them for sale, if you would want to go that route.

Why do we park in a driveway, and drive on a parkway?
There is NO SUCH THING as a hot water heater.
