Went to Progressive for a Derasa. This was sold but I found this squamosa instead. Thank Alton for your help. Clam made the byssus immediately after I built a little platform for it.

Really nice pick up and a good pic.
Re: New Squammy and pics
Thanks, it seems to be a blue spot squamosa. It really anchored nicely to a rock. Not so happy with the overgrown Fox face like a bull in a china shop.

Re: New Squammy and pics
That's a nice clam. I got the other Squammie Beaver had in the softie tank. I just practically gave it away to Jimbob. Hope you like it, I need to make room for some 9" + ultra blue and gold teardrop maximas in the 225g I'm setting up this weekend

Rest assured the pics will come. In the mean time, I have 3 other clams I need to scoot out of here. PM if interested

Rory,
Thanks again for the great little maxima. I like the electric blue lines.

Re: New Squammy and pics
I'm glad you like it. So I take it there were no problems with it opening up?

Re: New Squammy and pics
No problem, I even saw it trying to make the byssus while in the bag. I buried some coral rubble in the sand and set him here. I will check in a few days to see if he attaches. I might want to move him up. The tank is deep and I am not sure he gets enough light even with 8 bulbs.
