Go down to Dauphin Island in the late afternoon, on a calm hot day. Walk in the shallows from near the golf course up to sand island and the check the south side of the east end. You'll find plenty of baby striped hermits (dime to nickle sized), which are completely reef safe. You've seen my tank, I've used them since day one.

My tank sustains about twenty of them, and in the three years I've had them, they haven't grown noticeably or harmed anything.
100 gal mixed reef, 30 gal sump, 4x54w T5, 2x150w HQI, OctoX 200 skimmer, Kalk top-off, rocky mixed reef.
