What kind of worm is this?

What is that and where did it come from?

I may have something rather similiar in my 23 gallon. Does it have a hard shell tube around him that he portrudes from ? Or is he building one ?

He just lives in a hole in the live rock. It doesn't have anykind of tube.

It look like he can move around just like a bristle worm.

Okay I just saw this thing snatch up a hermit crab and a couple of snails. So I guess I will try to catch him. Does anybody want to trade a frag for him?

I'll take him on as a 'fuge critter... I don't have much in the way of trade though, just two types of xenia, and some frag-sized GSP.

I was just kidding about trading him. If I do catch him I will probably put it in tank by himself so I can watch him for a while. He is just too freaky looking to just kill. I would love to keep him in my main tank if I knew that it wouldn't catch a fish oneday. I can spare a few snails but not my fish. Who wants to stick there fingure in the hole and try to lure him out.

Hahaha, sounds like you need to put some more "meat on a stick", or lure him out into a funnel/coke bottle or something... what is that on the skewer in your pics anyway?

A cube of frozen food that is in gelatin or something that holds it together so when it thaws out it doesn't fall apart.
