Post by Melissakins »

This is an abstract sort of thing...I'm testing some new software at work and decided to get smarta$$ about it (sorry Brandon!!!) so I wrote an article and included an image, the one you see below. Can you figure out what it is?

Looks like something I once picked out of my bellybutton looking for crumbs one evening.

The answer is:

UNDER THE MICROSCOPE

Electron Micrograph: Wilfred Bentham

If you had this in your throat or stomach, wouldn't you cough it up? You Can see both the small undercoat hairs and the longer overcoat hairs in this electron microscope picture of a real hairball coughed up by Beakman's cat, Algebra.

P.S. from Beakman: One of the nicest things You Can do you for a cat is to brush its fur. You'll remove the fur that might get into its stomach or throat. You'll save the cat from all that wretching.

Been there done that. I have one that misses the litter box every day now.

I think our worst right now is that one of our three cats (the newest one) doesn't cover, so the Littermaid[tm] then runs, and gets cat poo jammed all in it's little grates, so it won't work... grrrrrr!
