Fluidized Bed... Carbon and Ferric Hydroxide
Has anyone built a fluidized bed for either carbon or Ferric Hydroxide? I want to mix the 2 and use a single fluidized bed for both.
I can build one out of PVC and a small pump, but I figured you guys have done this before... share the knowlledge!!

I think I'm gonna go with a 2-liter coke bottle and a big gulp straw
Seriously.. I don't see how it could work with pvc, because you couldn't see it in order to adjust the flow. You wouldn't know if it were compacting on the bottom, or getting ready to come out. I'm just searching for a cheap fluidized bed filter..

There have to be some used ones around from when fluidized sand bed filters were all the rage.

Xster.. Looking a little more into it.. That appears to be the Corallife Chemical Reactor which is discontinued..
