New critter

I am seeing this guy out in the morning when the lights just cut on. Any idea ?

Looks like some sort of nudibranch. Do you have any corals that are damaged or recessing?

Dr Ron said it is probably a coral or snail eater.

it came from my tank snoop, theyre little nudi's, theyre breeding like wild and so are the snails, ive had them for years and so far ive seen nothing bad about them,, all i know is that they eat algae cause i seen em munching down of it on the glass

Mike come to find out they are predatory Nudibranch here is an adult. They eat button polyps. They also camo themselves against the Zoanthids so you cannot see them so best to find them when lights are out.

xster would prolly pay big bucks for them....especially if you can train them to eat mushrooms too..... :D

They look pretty scary....whatever works.....as long as I know for sure that they will not abuse my corals, than I am all for it. :)

ive had em in my tank for years and as you can see, my zoos are fine and growing like wild...i usually find mine on the glass chowing down on algae, no signs of seath to anything so theyre staying in my tank til otherwise

You get them from B&B?

i had one that satyed around a polyp colony. out of the tank and squish! no problems.

yes they feed on polyps, bead news. If you want I can look up the info on these
