I also replaced my SCWD with a 3/4" Sea Swirl. I really like the Sea Swirl, the pressure drop across it is much lower than the SCWD and I can see a significant improvement in the water flow. Now I have 2 RIO 1100 power heads and the MAG 9.5 return pump. The total water turnover (inside the tank) is about 20x the volume of the tank.
I've always had good growth, but now I'm hoping for something down right phenomenal!
