im gitting to that point myself im lookin for 150 to 200 #'s of the good stuff
i did get a quote from dave at aqua works a while back for 50# of live and 150 of play/dead for 164.00
i think we can get a little cheaper and get a scoop or two from other reefers of live sand to seed your tanks
i thought danielmiller had a line on some southdown from his brother or sombody at home depot
any luck with finding some let me know
thanks
chad
gitting things back in order and starting over!!!

I would be in for a couple of bags of SD. I thought that you could get in on one of the bases in Pensacola.

except for the naval base in pensacola (according to others at least)... there's no local source for this stuff. You'd need to order in a pallete of the stuff (70 bags, 2800lbs). I have the details, but I've yet to see anyone who wanted to do it, I kinda flooded the local market about a year ago heh.

I probably have about 50-80lbs of live sand in my curing vat if anyone wants it. It is very similar to the keys sand that Dave and Tim used to sell.

It should be Southdown or Yardright. It must say that it comes or is mined from the Caribbean. At HD (in the northeast) they are a couple of dollars for a bag but it could be as much as $6

If your needing it now get what wtrhed has. It would be better. I need some for use in a few months so I just wanted some bags.

I could use about 1300-1500 lbs. If anyone desides to order a pallet (shag), let me know.

Hey Josh I can't speak for the others but I don't mind kicking in a few extra $$ per bag for your trouble. It is still much cheaper than getting it anywhere else.

I have heard that you can order half a pallette. I am not sure how many bags that would be but I am sure you could have all of it sold before it got here.
