DIY Question

Post by Phisher »

My tile floors (or slab) are not very level and I have a high spot about 10" from the center of where my new stand will be sitting. I can shim the low side and make it level I'm just worried about the weight on the shims.

Does anyone think this will be ok or is it a bad idea.

Well, if it were going to crush your shims, it would probably crush the stand which is probably made of wood. My floor was unlevel at the last house and I used linoleum tiles to level the stand, I figured it was spread out more than shims would be.. worked fine, but I would think shims probably would also.

Yep, everybody uses shims, no worries... only worry you would have is to make sure you don't shim over a hollow tile, that would be bad!!!
