Mobile Bay Reef Keepers

I would like to do something with the entire top 20 percent of our MBRK header. I am kicking around ideas right now. I am very open to suggestion and may submit ideas for everyone to look at either late this month or in July. Our site has been up too long with no changes and I really think a facelift could not hurt.

I still voted "it's ok don't bother", the only change I would like to see would be a more broad color scheme change, as in, doesn't look like generic phpBB anymore, something like a darker color scheme and some button changes, that kinda thing. Other than something major like that, I vote leave it as is

I don't think that will happen so I would just keep it like it is.

Maybe you could add a bunch of popup adds.

The most recent change (crab on the right) has stretched the width beyond my browser's standard width (800x600)... now I have a scroll bar on the bottom... this is very annoying!

I don't think the header is terrible but it could be improved. How about spread the MBRK logo all the way across the top of the page. Have big blue waves crashing up on the M and K. Then have sand scattered across underneath the MBRK in a curved manner. Have a blue starfish in the sand at the middle underneath the B and R. Have a green staghorn acropora growing behind or on top of the M. A purple one on top of the K. Finally, a Powder Blue Surgeonfish swimming over the middle B and R.

Or something like that. I just feel that the logo should represent the reef part of the hobby since so many people are into that.

Well Alan you are by far the most graphical inclined of everyone here, could you whip up something ? I cannot come anywhere close to what you are capable of doing.
