Hell go to www.alienware.con and look at there high end systems. Then purchase that type of card, can't go wrong if your pocket book is big enough.

Look at the approved hardware list for Battlefield2 and get one that's listed. BF2 is the toughest game for graphics cards right now. I bought an ATI X800 XT.

i think the top 2 are made by nvidia and ati. i have an ati radeon x800 with tv tuner and its awesome. played the latest doom game with it and the difference was night and day with the old card i had. i think the nvidia top o' the line is the 6800. heres a review of the cards. http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Graphic_so ... _16-0.html

I was told at Best Buy that I needed a particular type to fit my motherboard. He said there is like 3 different ones. How do I know what will fit or does it matter?

what kind of computer do you have? The graphics card could be PCI. AGP or PCI Express. I doubt that you would need PCI since that is for pretty old computers (unless you have integrated video). PCI Express is on the higher end, newest machines. My best guess is that you have an AGP slot and all you really need to know is what speed. im guessing either 4x or 8x. If you can find this out, then i can tell you what cards to get.

AGP Slots are brown normally, PCI are white.
