I actually have a very understanding wife, fortunately. I don't have to stretch much. I also am a big believer in joint checking accounts but independent allowances even if they are tiny. It is rare that spouses have the exact same interests and hobbies forever.

You can, however, be dang sure I don't come home and say look at the cool $50-400 corals,fish,equipment, etc...

Robin is by no means "into" the aquarium as a hobby, but is amazing how much pride in the tank/system she has when we have company, particulary when it is someone who realizes what we have in it and the ability to keep it healthy. I am sure she takes a little credit when I am not looking.
