So I had been using a mag-float....I have scratches all over my glass. Is there any way I can cover them up or anything?

Not on glass. With acrylic you can smooth them out. Once glass is scratched there is no easy way to fix it.

I've never had a problem with razor blades.

After reading Lonestar's post, I pulled out a new razor blade and tried my hardest to scratch an inconspicuous place on my tank. I just couldn't do it. I even tried bending and putting nick in the blade, still nothing. Maybe there was something harder that was caught on the blade, but that would hold true for any kind of scraper, if something was caught on it.
