Coral pictures -intense

Post by Scott »

I have started to take regular pictures of some of the faster growing SPS to document the growth rate and see if I get any additional growth when I remove the leathers. Here is the first few that didn't look like a second grader took them (maybe a third grader).

I would say that the orange cap is my fastest growing coral. I got it from Ken (Nepthea) last November. It was about the size of a half dollar. It didn't take any time to encrust and start growing outward, even under VHO's.

Looks like you have a ton of critters on your back glass Scott.

They are like little snail shells. I have no idea what they are, but they get everywhere. Any ideas?

It is a polychaete in the family spirorbidae. Its a lot like a feather duster and is supposed to mean your tank is healthy. I get them on my tank that I don't heavily skim.

looking great scott.

Yeah let me know too if you are willing to party with some monti frags...

In addition to taking pictures you could also write the apprx size in a reef journal.....sometime pics can be decieving , but with notes and pics... :D

What's wrong Amy?

Liz and Shawn, what do you have to trade? I could make some small frags of a few things, but mostly what I have are frags.
