Can someone tell me what this white plastic thing is? No.. it is not any sort of marital aid.. it came with the tank I just bought, but I am not sure what the heck it is.

its a silencer for an overflow ..usually 1" overflow pipe, if you want me to show you how to use it, lemme know, i know everything in the world about that little plastic bobber....

Yeah, it's an alternative to a Durso standpipe for a overflow.

Would it work as well as a Durso? The tank is not up, so putting in a durso would be real simple,

do the duraso, its alot easier to operate, those stupid float bobbers suck, they only work on 1" thin wall PVC
