Updated pics of stuff from Reefers and Mike's house.

Post by snoopdog »

Just thought everyone would want to see a few pics of stuff i had gotten from Reefers and Mikes. Good growth so far.

First this is from Reefers, think i paid $10 for it. Was a head of Frogspawn, and was quite closed when i got it. Ha ha, its doing great and fully open. :P

Image

These are buttons from Aquaworks, were quite closed when i got them really raw, still rock die-off covering the polyps. After the crabs got after the rock and 4 days later they all opened with zero loss and appear to be growing. I think i need to put a rock adjacent as i think they are wanting to spread.

Image

This is the Xenia Elongata i picked up from Reefers one week. Well so far i fragged some for Mike and this stuff is growing like i remembered it would. Wow, this stuff is insane. Even after fragging it for Mike its attaching again this week. Dont worry there will be plenty for everyone i promise.

And last this is something i got from Mike, still unsure what it is. I think he said it was torch. I am guessing it is Euphyllia Glabrescens since the come in different varieties and also know as Frogspawn if i remember right. Torch, Frogspawn whatever.

I am thinking my water changes are working well. I have never been one to do them and have developed high nitrates over time. I will keep them up till the nitrates get to zero or so then try to keep large amounts of macro algea to help keep them down.

Gotta wait for the halides to come on first, will be later today. I checked all my parameters today, here are the results. I am pleased that the nitrates are down. They were 80-100 last month, the water changes are really helping.

Ummm well he moved down the front glass of the tank, up the rock and then UP the back of the tank again..... it is up at the very top of the water line back, sitting in the direct flow of the power head - acting stupid again.
