New Here

Post by Nivar »

Hello I have been lurking for awhile and just wanted to say hi.

I kept a 55 gallon FOWLR for 3 years and just recently made the move into soft corals with a new tank and lighting.

New tank (100 gallon) was up and running fine for about a month before I did something really stupid two days ago involving redoing the return plumbing from the sump with a brass check valve which made my three corals VERY unhappy.

Anyway, right now my tank is a mess and I have a 30 gallon tank with three corals, 40 Lbs of Liverock, and all my inverts and a 60 gallon thoroughly washed rubbermaid container with my 6 fish, 75 Lbs. of Liverock and my 100 gallon with 2 inches of water in it.

When everything gets straightened out again, I'll post pics.

Greetings! All I can say is some learning experiences are more devastating than others. :) But we all have them. Glad to hear you didn't lose everything, though. Do let us see a picture when you can.

Sorry to hear of your situation. Hopefully you'll have everything back to normal soon. We all mess up occasionally. Sometimes I don't even need an occasion! :)
