Reeferpuffer is the winner. I installed my lights while the hood was off my tank and upsidedown. After I got my light wired up and turned on I raised the top to see how bright they look against the reflector and to my suprise the where still in the hood and not on the top hatch. You just don't know how stupid I felt. I'm just glad that I found out now instead of when I was trading tanks out.

How about a picture of the hood closed with the lights on? I am planning a new hood and need some ideas.

Thanks,
Scott

It's home made. I got my friend to cut and break a piece of Coilzack aluminum ( the reflector) and i mounted icecap endcaps on aluminum angle and used spacer to mount it over the reflector.

You can get all that stuff at home depot over in the nuts and bolts department, lowes, or most any hardware store. I got all that stuff at the local auto parts store. Home depot has a good assortment of different size angle, square tubing , round tubing, and flat bar and sheet Aluminum.
