Post by SaltnLime »

I want to get a 100 gpd r/o unit, but really need to get a good deal. Please keep your eyes open for a sale. If I can;t find one then I am going to go see Rich.

Save yourself some money, and order from Air, Water & Ice, over in Florida. Walter is a pleasure to deal with, and the refill kits (all 5 stages) are only $50.

Here's the selection they have for reefkeeping purposes, I have the Typhoon (w/out the flush/bypass) and I swear by it, set me back $150 plus shipping; it's really what you would usually see as a 4 stage RO/DI, but there's an extra inline carbon cartridge.

But not the film membrane, that is normally more but not changed as often. Normally the first change is just your DI and sediment/carbon filters.

Hmm?

I just change all of mine out whenever the sediment gets nasty... usually every 6 months to a year or so.... for $50, you can just throw everything out and start fresh :)

Yep, it's all five cartridges. Cheap huh! I've already replaced all my cartridges once.
