Would anyone be interested in a Purple Tang??

I love this tang but since i'm selling the 125 instead of setting it up I don't think he will like being in my 55 too much longer. I got him at Reefscapes and he looked really bad. He was in the back in those small little cubes for 3 or 4 months. He is in great shape now. He is a pig and loves to eat. I hate giving him up becuase since i have added him i have not had any algea in my tank, but I would perfer that he is in a larger tank. One thing about him is that he would need to be the last fish added to the tank. Maybe it is just that he is in a 55 but he likes his space and has killed two wrasse since i had him. They both came in after he did and he never once went after anything else in the tank that was there before, including another wrasse. He hasn't picked on a clown goby that i got after him though. If someone has a large tank that is almost stocked with fish(or is willing to chance him in a larger tank not stocked) and would love a great looking purple tang let me know. I'll let him go for $40. I always wanted a purple tang and i have had him now for probably 4 months but he can't stay in my small tank.

I would love to have him and certainly have room for him. He will be the eighth or ninth tang in my tank so I don't think we will see the agressive side of him for a while!

I do need to know aproximately how big he is though before I commit!

Let me know!

Liz, you are stocking your tank with acros right. I'd be interested in trading him for some frags possibly since i lost most of mine in the move.

If you paid $50 you got a good deal, they are very pricey.

well I'm going to hold onto this guys for now. I may just end up keeping the tank if i can't find anyone to buy it. I at least know that i have people interested in him if i need to get him a bigger place to live.

Let me know if you decide to get rid of it. I really wanted to add two fish and the tang would have to go in last.

BTW, one of the zoanthids slimed off the rock, but the other is open and looks great. I don't think you have the blues like I have. I vaguely remember you having a problem with some of yours. Did you lose the blues?

Yeah, you sent them to me last March through Brandon and Melissa. I'll try and get a decent picture of them and post it soon.

Those dont' look familar to me. Hmmm I had 2 different blues, or sometimes green. I still have both. I have a new color you guys are going to like. I'm going to put a few polyps in my tank and try to get some growing in my prop tank. keep looking on my gallery for updates. Like i said i have about 10 or so different zoanthids so when i get good pics of them i'll update them.

I would love to start a growout tank in my garage on a stand with trays and all. I can only think of one thing stopping me, cooling. In the summer the tank would be very hot and it is not possible. If I ever think of a way to cool it I will start a prop tank.
