Controller Comparrison
I'm looking at purchasing a controller and am looking for simple opinions on different devices. I've looked at Apex, Reef Angel and Puratek. I know Apex seems to have the best/widest brand recognition with RA a close second. RA seems to be the best for true customization due to it's software. I stum...

Re: Frags, LR, zoas/palys
Ok, I've got to get rid of this or its going to be sacrificed into a curing bucket. $150 takes every frag, rock and rock with zoas. Frags include Pocillopora, Monti cap, birds nest and some various acros.

Frags, LR, zoas/palys
Okay, so I've moved all of my corals and rocks to the new 125. As such I have a lot of frags and rocks with zoas. I need it ALL gone. Prices start at $5 and go up (not much though). SPS and zoas, no LPS. First come, first served. Live rock is $2-5 a piece. Sorry no pics, but you can get an idea from...

ATO opinion
Ok, so my old reliable, been working for 6 years, never failed ato needs ro be replaced. It still works but it is ugly and kind of obtrusive. So I'm considering two options--the Hydor model and the Smart ATO. I would like pros and cons for both units.
Thanks

Re: What Is This?
Just taking a SWAG here, but given the clear tendrils coming from the edges, I would guess some type of eggs. The clear part seems to be a mucus trail of sorts.

Re: Help
I do need to do a WC anyway, so now is a good time. I do have GAC that I just started running today as well. One good thing I've noticed is that my skimmer isn't producing as much skimmate so that tells me that the crap in the water is being reduced. I have not tested my mix water, but I do need to....

Re: Help
I use two-part based on the Randy Holmes-Farley formula dosed once daily into the sump. I also run kalk in my ATO. As far as a water change I've not done one in three weeks (behind one week). I do not dose organic carbon, but do use a product from TLF called Acro Power. But I have not dosed it in a ...

Help
Okay, so I noticed that a couple of my corals were looking a bit wonky; Monti caps had bleached spots, Acros stopped growing etc. I tested my water and (I'm typing from work so I don't remember all of my numbers) but this is what I found: Alk is very high--over 4.5 meq/L (Hanna) Mg a little low--jus...
