well i have been installing new pos in all the taco bells lately i have gotten some battery backups that they were gonna throw away they have the internet and ethernet protections on them idk what they are worth but i imagime they would come in handy with a power outage on a tank i believe they are ...

i think i have it
i plugged modem cat 5 into router port and router port to labtop
this allowed me to config dhcp setup
but will not work if i connect the modem to the router ther right way using the ethernet (in) port

does anyone know how to config a linksis router using the ip adddresss 192.168.1.1 i know that it has to be pppoe for dsl but am lost on all the rest really do not need the wireless part, i mainly want to use this (ap) as a switch because i have hard line rj45 ran to eveything in the house. any help...
