Have not decieded about the door, I may order some and finish them or if I get brave I might make some myself.

I am going to add the last bit of trip at the top once the tank is on the stand. I also decieded to go for 1" return and supply pvc for both pumps with 1.5" drain to feed the sump.

The tank is from Ocean View. I ordered it from a fellow in D'iberville whom I get most of my fish and drygoods from.

Update, big day started Friday.
Image
RO only puts out about 2gph and I'm scared to leave it on when I am gone or asleep so it will be awhile.

I am using a "loop manifold" for my closed loop and just a single or dual for the sump return.

1.5" durso pipe in the overflow.

Just noticed my reflection, great camera work.

I was going to order some premade doors but decieded to take a crack first.
Image
They turned out pretty good except I got a little crazy with the glue around the miter cuts. I could sand them back down and restain but...

Here are the pumps/plumbing so far...

Rubbermaid sump and skimmer.

Lastly my electrical panel.

I didnt thank about using outdoor boxes so I sealed the front plates and holes in the back with silicone.

My liverock should be in Thursday.

The doors look good. My Gen X pump made a loy of noise when it was hard plumbed, I hope you get better results.

Well...the pumps are pretty noisy. I don't think changing the plumbing will really help they just humm loud-sure put out some water though! I might replumb and put them through the wall an din my A/C return chase-they should stay coolin there also.

I got my sand in and am watching 120g bowl of milk right now, hopefull the filter socks will have it clear in a few days. Also got my rock the other day. Nice walt smith stuff, uncured $3.50lb, got to pick out some nice 10+ lb pieces-curing in rubber maid tub at the moment.

Try a short piece of flexible hose in there. Mine resonated and that caused a lot of my noise. They are kind of noisy though mostly that fan.

I dont think its a resignating noise, I think the oversized plumbing took care of that. I have about sold myself on cutting a 6x8" hole in the wall and boxing it in with 2x4 and moving the pumps to the closed in the spare bedroon behind the tank. I was playing the idea of adding an auto topoff/water change vat and a fuge throught the wall anyway.

Its amazing that the smaller pump is rated at like 850gph but moves twice the water of my old mag 9.5. Pressure rated pumps are the way to go.

Did you ever cut the hole in the wall for the pump?
