Bristle Worm ??

Post by strout »

I have them in my tank and I freaked when I saw them. Have since found out, its not the end of the world and that most tanks have them. I tried to catch a few of them but the little suckers are way to fast for me. I did buy a Yellow Coris Wrasse the other day and I hope he will keep the baby worms in check. My question is this: When I set up my new tank I want to use some of my old Live rock in the new tank, can I dip the LR in something that will make the Bristle worms come out of the rock before it is placed into the tank and not kill the corline algae on the rock? If not I am going to go with all new rock (not live) for the new tank.

I wouldn't worry about them at all. I saw a nice 3 inch long one about the size of a pinky stuck in one of my acan last week.
