Neat picture, awesome telescope!

Here's one we took a couple years ago at our old house with our camera:

aye me and Brandon were compairing it to one of mine from 2 weeks ago...

it actually makes a great wallpaper for the pc :)

The funny thing is... both these shots are from my lowest magnification eye piece... and the higher i can only get maybe 1/10 of the moon at a time. The only thing is when you look at the moon, you need sunglasses or a lunar filter lol you will walk away with spots in you eyes....

you might have to take one and photochop it.

the problem with the higher mag eye pieces is that the focal length and hole for viewing gets smaller so my simplistic way of just holding the cam to the piece doesnt work well, as you get a black circle around the image.

Do you want something like this? or closer?

I just would like to see what that scope can do about picking up Mars. Maybe a faroff and a close one showing the ice.

unfortunitly, my scope wont do much with mars

I could probably pull some small detail like the icecaps with the right filters. I can get mars to look @ the size of a hole in a piece of notebook paper and its so bright.

I am going to go somewhere to view mars tonight, I will try to get a shot.

not the best picture, but by only pressing the cam up to teh eye piece not too bad.

its definitly sharper, and the board streched it out but in the original size you can see some coloration to it
