I put them in the 20 high, the little guy burrowed all over the place till he finally settled on a spot behind the rock, but out enough to see them. The substrate is a mix of oolithic and crushed coral with a good bit of rubble, but not very deep at all, I was a little concerned about that but I don...

By far the coolest fish.....

Ok, I saw it today and it wins hands down for the coolest fish. It was an Angler Fish over at Water World. Now, I'm one of those people who believe "the uglier they are the better" but this guy was awesome! He looked like a sponge sitting there in the corner of the tank, and they thr...

Ok, Mike, now you know how the first Mike felt, and even he wasn't the only one who's left. It's got to be hard to really care and want to do things right, and have little or no control over how they're done. I certainly couldn't do it. I'm often amazed at the people who come in there, what they exp...

Maybe that's why I couldn't find it. It's gonna be fun to have another place around here, especially one so close to where I live. Looking forward to it!

A moral dilemma (opinions welcome)

Ok, here's the deal. My percula clowns have spawned, we have the eggs in the 90 PVC elbow they host in. Keep in mind that I absolutely adore these fish and they do tend to stress when I mess with their house! I know the fry wouldn't have a chance in the big tank, but I don't want to freak out the cl...

There are a few plants you could try....Java Fern, anacharis, anubas (a great plant, low light), hornwort and water sprite/ Those are the only ones I can think of for brackish water. Java fern and anubas would be good to try in a smaller tank, caust they wont take over, gotta save a little room for ...

I agree with rethinking the powersweep idea. They are really bulky, add alot of heat and don't work well for long. You might consider a maxi-jet......much less of a pain.
That setup is very similar to my 20H.

An Ebay idea....

I wonder if I could put up a post on Ebay for "rare" bubble algae.....maybe something like: An amazing algae found only in the deepest recesses of the reef"

Think anyone would go for it?

Scott, now that I measured the tank (22wx22lx24d) I realized I lied. It's actually a 44 Gal. Sorry bout that. I'll take some pics tomorrow after work and send em to you.

Harbinger, you're welcome to 'em....let me know when you want to get them, Sue
