Regular, as in A. percula or A. ocellaris?
Either way, the answer is yes.

Re: clownfish
A. ocellaris and A. percula readily hybridize in natural ranges of overlap in the wild. Many in the genus hybridize frequently, in fact. That has led to some species losing their official status and being relegated to being a hybrid--a great example would be A. latezonatus.

True. An example in the angelfish family of this would be the Apolemichthys armitagei. Which is now known as a Apolemichthys xanthurus x Apolemichthys trimaculatus hybrid.Amphiprion wrote:A. ocellaris and A. percula readily hybridize in natural ranges of overlap in the wild. I think ilovefish21 means if amphiprion ocellaris breed with the black color morph would that make a hyprid. Since its same species wouldn't it just make another color morph. Correct me if I'm wrong though ilovefish21.

Re: clownfish
Then no, it wouldn't be a hybrid. The black specimens are just a variant of A. ocellaris originally found near Australia (and captive bred to mimic those characteristics) , so it would still be the same species.
